Job Qualification Requirements:
Must have 3-month experience preferable in a high volume restaurant. Must have understanding of food preparation fundamentals, knowledgeable in food safety and sanitation, knowhow in using variety of kitchen equipment. Must have basic reading, writing, and communication skills. Able to work all shifting and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. The work schedule for this position includes shifting & split shifts and each beneficiary shall have different days off, each with 1-day off per week. All applicants must be able to secure the CNMI Driver’s license and Food Handlers Certificate. Must have own transportation to and from work. All applicants must provide an updated resume, verifiable employment certification, and other related documents. This job is a temporary full-time position. The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from employee's origin to the place of employment as well as return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(l). Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Vacuum dining area and sweep and mop kitchen floor. Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly and when food and supplies are getting low, and order needed items. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving. Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures. Use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods. Portion and wrap food, or place it directly on plates for service to patrons. Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Mix ingredients for green salads, molded fruit salads, vegetable salads, and pasta salads. Make special dressings and sauces as condiments for sandwiches. Scrape leftovers from dishes into garbage containers. Distribute food to waiters and waitresses to serve to customers.
